Boron

One of the greatest things about science is being able to experiment. After finding the fun fact for Boron, it made me think of all of the ridiculous videos I've seen of "experiments." The great thing about these videos is that they are eye-catching but are super relatable to basic chemical principals.

You'll find some videos about Silly Putty (including an original commercial) and my favorite video about Diet Coke and Mentos (with an explanation of what happens by MythBusters). Enjoy!

Fun Fact: Boron is in Silly Putty! It is critical for cross-linking the polymers that make up Silly Putty and allows it to be both soft and moldable in your hand yet hard and bouncy when you throw it against a wall.
