Hafnium

I have talked about football before on the blog, but I finally had the chance to score a ticket to one of the games! In those three and a half hours of craziness:

1) Michigan slaughtered Minnesota 58-0 to win the little brown jug
2) I got completely sunburned...as in red as a lobster
3) I somehow caught on to all of the crazy sayings, hand gestures, etc. - who knew there could be so many varieties of the wave?!
4) Went from Row 60 to Row 10
5) Made an awkward friend who tried to steal my sunglasses - sorry freshmen, no go.
6) Snapped some amaizing pictures - check them out!

The Big House

I'm pretty sure this was before one of Michigan's many touchdowns

Thanks for being a last minute stand-in Dave!

As we got closer the 26x zoom on my camera got to get some sweet shots

Final score. GO BLUE!

The little brown jug (if you can see it)

Football and Chemistry Trivia: If the nucleus of an atom was the size of a pea, the whole atom would be as large as a football stadium. The pea would also have to weigh well over a ton! Talk about size scales!

Fun Fact: Hafnium is in devices used to cut steel, as it has a high melting point and is extremely resistant to corrosion.
